From Naples to the Amalfi Coast and the Isle of Capri, this 8-day adventure explores some of Italy’s most remarkable sights. Southern Italy’s Mediterranean landscape is magical and magnificent. Rugged coastlines give way to clear, blue waters, and quaint towns set the scene for some of the most mouthwatering Italian meals. Spend eight days reveling in all the adventure this eco-paradise has to offer. Costa Rica is an adventure-lover’s dream. Everywhere we look, we are greeted with peaceful waterfalls, tropical rainforests and stretches of ocean surf. These are the perfect conditions for ziplining, rafting, canyoning, cycling and hiking. A leader in wildlife and sustainability initiatives, Costa Rica is rich with interesting creatures. Our guides use their training as naturalists to point out white-faced capuchins, howler monkeys and maybe even a sloth camouflaged in a tree. Our journey begins at Arenal Volcano National Park, where we spend three days hiking volcanos, canyoning deep in the tropical rainforest and ziplining high above the jungle canopy. Get a glimpse of the majestic Arenal volcano and then soak up natural thermal hot springs with fellow adventurers after the day’s explorations. See Lac Assal and Ardoukoba Volcano as you hike, snorkel and swim through Djibouti. With its mix of hiking and snorkelling, this trip is not for the faint hearted. Perhaps the best way to experience the Emerald Isle’s magnificent cliffs and wind-carved coastlines is by journeying the longest coastal driving route in the world—on foot. The 1500-mile Wild Atlantic Way has everything a seasoned trekker longs for, plus a few bucket-list extras. We begin our hike from the Surf Coast of Sligo to the cultural hub of Galway while immersing ourselves in Ireland’s archaeology, geology and natural history. From there, we climb iconic mountains including the summit of Ireland’s most famous pilgrimage mountain, Croagh Patrick, following the route of Ireland’s patron saint, Saint Patrick. A renowned seaweed expert will enliven the journey as we forage together for this overlooked superfood on the Sligo coast. Dramatic cliffs and castle ruins will mesmerize all on our hike to Clare Island. And to balance the majesty out with a little amusement, we’ll witness a sheep dog demonstration and learn about this traditional way of life in Connemara. Our time here is book-ended by two nights at a comfortable lodge perched right on the rim of the canyon. Conquer Africa's highest peak from the drier, northern side of the mountain.
